Valley Ride (ADA Complementary Paratransit)

High Valley Transit (HVT) provides Valley Ride, an ADA paratransit service, for persons unable to use HVT’s fixed route bus system because of a temporary or permanent disability. Valley Ride is provided within three-quarters (3/4) of a mile, on either side, of HVT’s fixed routes.

As of July 1, 2021, Valley Ride has taken over some ADA/Paratransit rides from Park City Mobility. All Park City Mobility riders are automatically eligible for Valley Ride service; to enroll, click here. For when to use each service, please see the following:

  • If you need a round trip within Summit County, outside of the city, Valley Ride can schedule and provide the trip.
  • If you need a round trip within Park City, Park City Mobility can schedule and provide the trip.
  • If your trip starts in Park City Municipal’s boundaries and ends in Summit County outside of these boundaries, Park City Transit is responsible for that trip. For the return trip, you should contact Valley Ride, and we will take you back to Park City.

Eligibility for Valley Ride is determined through an application process. Applications are available at HVT and can be requested by calling (435) 336-3021, via email at valleyride@highvalleytransit.org, or in person at the Sheldon Richins Building, 1885 W. Ute Blvd., Park City, UT 84098. Applications are also available online – please click HERE to be taken to the form.  Completed applications are evaluated within 21 days of receipt at HVT. Notification of the resulting determination is then forwarded to the applicant by letter.
